On the drive home, we listened to the Encanto movie soundtrack. It was a very successful outing to the science museum and I look forward to our next visit. We went through the mechanical diorama exhibit and the human body exhibit before making our way back to the lockers and heading our separate ways. Both Iris and Ramona were thoroughly engaged and enjoyed their experience with it, but it was a bit of an uncomfortable experience for me wondering how much of it I could explain if Iris asked me questions.Ībout this time we were starting to reach the point of maximum fun. The exhibit presented the treaties, conflicts and betrayals from the perspective of the Dakota people. Something I will have to do a little research about before planning a camping trip there with Iris.
I would find out later in the day that Sakatah State Park outside of Waterville, MN was a prominent site in that war. There was a second dinosaur exhibit, so we spent time there being a couple of junior paleontologists before moving on to an interactive exhibit about the US-Dakota war of 1862. This time though, Don noticed a few exhibits that Iris and I had missed the last time we were there. Ramona was a little scared at first but then warmed up to it.Īfter the movie, we went right back down to the exhibits. It was pretty cool and this time we had some pretty good seats. Last time Iris and I went we saw the Dinosaurs of Antarctica, so this time we saw Under the Sea. Then it was time for lunch and an Omnitheater movie. We saw dinosaur skeletons, we played with microscopes, we tried to put a dinosaur skeleton together, raced a T-Rex and played with a wave machine. We moved them along to the main event, dinosaur exhibits. This was super cute and lots of fun for them. We moved on to the interactive newsroom exhibit, where they pretended to be news anchors together. 30 seconds later, their clip showed up on the helmet of a giant two-story astronaut. This exhibit has a camera station where the kids could record a 15 second clip and type their name. Next we took a look at some cool shells before moving on to our first interactive exhibit, the giant astronaut. The two of them together got a good chomp. First stop was the interactive Tyrannosaurus head. After stowing their gear in our locker, we made our way down to the exhibits. A trip up the musical stairs and we sat down for snack time.ĭon and Ramona were a bit late, but we got to wave to them as they came into the science museum. Iris had a cake donut with sprinkles and I had a couple of french chocolate croissants. After dropping our stuff in a locker, we made our way to the cafe to grab a snack. Iris and I arrived at the museum first, since we were only 4 minutes away. That poor coffee shop just gets slammed during the lunch hour. I learned my lesson from the last trip Iris and I took to the science museum and packed a lunch the night before.
And it has been super helpful.Īfter German Class we met up with Don and Ramona at the science museum.
BITNAMI WORDPRESS TERRAFORM PLUGINS HOW TO
A couple days ago, I found a wonderful blog post that walks through how to do this. This automation will make it easier for me to create new helm charts, because the boilerplate mechanics will be automated. I am trying to get an automated build, test and documentation process running on GitHub Actions for my helm charts repository. The German class is a drop-off class, so I hung out in the parking lot with my laptop poking around at writing a helm chart for Bitwarden’s Directory Connector that I built a docker image for. She wanted a ton of clips and bows, but I talked her down from 9 to 3 and 2 bows. My first successful braid of my daughter’s hair. I braided her hair successfully for the first time.
Her cousin Felix and Aunt Judith both speak German, so maybe some of it will stick. We started the day getting ready for her 9 am immersion German class we signed her up for because she expressed an interest. Today, I spent the day with my 4 year old daughter Iris.
